“Ohio’s Largest Car Show”

Ohio’s Largest Car Show” will possibly also become “Ohio’s Greatest Music Festival” Saturday, June 16th when tens of thousands make their annual pilgrimage to Ohio’s nostalgia capital, Downtown Massillon, Ohio.

The 29th Annual Cruise-On-In & Dance Party will feature its traditional menu of hundreds of classic, antique and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles from throughout Ohio and surrounding states. The juried show will award some forty-nine trophies, including the Progressive Chevrolet “Best of Show.”

Greatest Entertainment Lineup Ever

The Cruise will also feature a record number of tribute acts, featuring some of the most popular bands of all-time, spanning four decades. As in past years, the entertainment will be showcased on two professional stages.

Having a tribute to Elvis on the MassMu East Stage has been a staple of the Cruise for many years, but to also have tributes to the Beatles and Patsy Cline on that stage breaks new ground, much like the museum itself!

The Liverpool Lads are one of the most authentic representations of the Fab Four that I’ve ever seen,” said Jeske, “and Logan Wells, with her tribute to Patsy Cline, has headlined in Vegas,” explained Jeske.

Rounding out this largest and arguably greatest entertainment lineup in Cruise history will be appearances by popular local band Visinata, and Rock & Roll Celebration, an oldies cover band that has performed at car cruises throughout northern Ohio.

Audience participation traditions like the Buffalo Wild Wings Eating Contest, and the Shearer’s Chip off the Old Block Look-a-like Contest, where father-son and mother-daughter contestants vie for prizes, will continue this year.

With respect to the car show, the entry and competition rules governing The Chevy Network and Progressive Chevrolet Car Show, and the other special features of the 29th Annual Cruise-On-In & Dance Party will be released as final details are completed.

The Cruise-On-In & Dance Party, winner of The Independent’s Readers’ Choice Best Community Event/Festival award, is an annual festival in downtown Massillon featuring cars, music, food and fireworks.  The Cruise is produced by ESPN 990 in conjunction with the Massillon Area Car Club.  Each year a crowd numbering tens of thousands attends and patronizes numerous downtown businesses.  Admission to the event is free.  Entry fee for show cars, trucks or motorcycles is $15.  Major sponsors include Mr. Tire, Aultman and Aultcomp MCO, the Chevy Network and Progressive Chevrolet, Shearer’s, MCTV, The Repository, The Independent, The Hampton Inn, LifeHope and Living Water Massillon Campus churches, Kimble, Always Fit 4 U Gym, U.S. Army, Eagles #190, Crescenze Cooling & Heating, Advanced Industrial Roofing and Buffalo Wild Wings.  For more information see the cruise website at  or or call (330) 837-9900 x. 25.

Eagles Tribute

Out of Eden

The group recently sold out the Mapleside Farms concert barn, and puts to good use well-seasoned veterans of the Ohio music scene, led by lead guitarist and Joe Walsh clone Ron White.  “I was at the show a few months ago, and was amazed at the size and enthusiasm of the crowd,” remembered Ray Jeske, Cruise Director for some twenty-seven years.  “We’re pretty selective, choosing only the top tribute acts around the region and even the country.  Halfway through their opening song, I knew we’d be crazy not to bring them to Massillon,” concluded Jeske.  Out of Eden also performs the hits of legendary guitarist and Ohio-native Joe Walsh.

Opening act on the main stage is Steely Dan Tribute The FM Project

The FM Project is a nine-piece ensemble out of Cleveland. “This is a dream come true for all Steely Dan lovers.  I’m amazed that any one dared to undertake such sophisticated and complex music,” said Jeske.

Liverpool Lads

Beatles Tribute

The Liverpool Lads have been entertaining audiences locally and regionally since 2009. We have performed publicly and privately at different venues and have met wonderful people! Our show is clean, funny and informative without delivering history lectures. It's just flat out fun! Seeing a happy satisfied audience is what we strive for. The group performs Beatles music mainly from 1962 - 1966 with a helping of later material included for good measure! You can expect the hits, but we also perform B sides and album cuts in our shows as well. Our lineup consists of four seasoned musicians who give it their all every time out. Our musicians are  E.S. Hider as "Paul", Joe Koch as "Ringo", Michael Thompson as "John" and AJ Tscherne as "George".

Celebration Rock, Roll and Remember with Celebration

Special Guest Appearance- Sunny Rich as Elvis

It all started in the parking lot of St. Mary's High School in Akron, Ohio.

This was the site of the Battle of the Bands between: "The Younger Ones" and "Igor & the Vultures."   On a hot Summer Saturday, Sunny Rich and "The Younger Ones" showed up at the battle, dressed in t-shirts & jeans, determined to defeat the opposing band.  A short while later, Terry Ajamie & "Igor & the Vultures" showed up, as calm as could be, in burgundy dress shirts & white pants.  Several cars, loaded with fans, followed behind Terry into the parking lot.  Sunny started sweating bullets when he saw all these fans. Then Sunny noticed Terry's drummer setting up his own stage.  Sunny whispered to his band mate, "I think we're in trouble.  They probably paid these people to come."

The battle was on:  Songs from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, & other 60's groups were performed.  Based on applause, "Igor & the Vultures" were victorious!  In the Summer of 2010, Sunny was pursuing a solo career performing at classic car shows, car cruises, and several entertainment venues around Ohio.  He decided he needed a partner.  Remembering his experience from the Battle of the Band and knowing that Terry had just finished a series of shows, Sunny decided to ask Terry if he wanted to start a band together.

Celebration was born in October of 2010.

Logan Wells - Patsy Cline and Friends

The ability to capture and connect immediately with any audience is a result of her warm interactive style, a superb vocal ability, and a stage presence achieved only by seasoned performers. Logan has performed professionally for over 24 years. She first discovered her vocal talents singing karaoke at a neighborhood block party, where she hid behind the speakers, so no one would know who was singing! Shortly after that, she entered and won countless vocal contests. Industry professionals suggested she develop not only her vocal talents, but her natural songwriting ability as well.

Logan is now very much accustomed to the spotlight. Although Logan has toured the country initially with a country band, the last 12 years she has expanded her repertoire to a WIDE VARIETY OF MUSICAL GENRES! She has played a wide variety of venues - headlining her own public concert appearances at community events, fairs, festivals, as well as sharing the stage with Shenandoah, Joe Diffie, Deana Carter, Marty Stuart, JM Montgomery, Billy Dean, Sammy Kershaw, Sawyer Brown, Kevin Sharp, Sonni Geraci, Terri Clark, Marc Chesnutt and legendary artists, Bill Anderson & Ray Price.

- Logan Wells has headlined in the main showroom at the Las Vegas Hilton

Bill Mack has added Logan's songs to his syndicated radio program that is played on over 800 radio stations nationwide as the New Power Discovery Artist sponsored by Chevron Oil and Overdrive Magazine.

-Logan was asked by the White House staff to perform for President George W. Bush in Westlake, OH to over 30,000 people and was so impressed by the performance, she was asked back to perform for the first lady, Laura Bush, at the IX center in Cleveland, OH. She was asked back again by the white house to perform for McCain/Palin in Cleveland, OH 2008.

Her good looks & relaxed, warm stage presence help her to create a fast friendship with her audience.
